First and foremost, let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to the English Edition of Science and Technology Daily (also known as S&T Daily) on reaching its two-year milestone and publishing its 100th issue! The creation of this English edition serves as a catalyst for fostering academic and educational exchanges between China and foreign countries.
I firmly believe that through such academic interactions, we can delve into our respective ideas, philosophies, and forge the relationships that will shape our future. It is indeed a highly rewarding endeavor. As someone devoted to the preservation of cultural heritage, my aspiration is not only to facilitate greater communication within this domain but also to drive the advancement of Sino-Japanese relations.
--Professor Nobuo Aoki (Japan), Director of the International Research Center for the Chinese Cultural Heritage Conservation of Tianjin University.
What I would expect from a journal such as S&T Daily is a powerful effort towards honest and reliable information to the general public. This is the line already taken, but it is important to pursue with all available tools the correct information in all fields of knowledge. My particular focus is on scientific information concerning human health, and I know how important is the public perception and understanding in the success of our health-preserving strategies, for instance vaccination. S&T Daily can play a great role in this sense by disseminating information and making the public willing to know more. Information and communication can also help a lot, and this is my wish, in strengthening international collaboration in science and health protection.
--Professor Diana Boraschi (Italy), the chief scientist of the Laboratory of Inflammation and Vaccines at SIAT-CAS.

I congratulate the management on the 100th edition and I hope this quest for knowledge sharing and authentic news dissemination will continue to serve the readers.

Science and technology have a vital role to play in telling China's stories to the world. Science and technology depend on reason, so they are a good channel for a rational exchange of views with international partners. But Science and technology also have fascinating stories to tell about exciting new developments, so they are a good way to engage with a wider audience on a human and emotional level as well. This is why the English Edition of S&T Daily is such a key element of China's storytelling to the people of the world.
--Mr. David Ferguson (the UK), honorary chief English editor of Foreign Languages Press, CICG.

S&T Daily has a long-standing reputation as one of China's leading news publications whose editorial scope extends far beyond what would normally be considered science and technology per se. As it publishes its 100th issue, it is time not only to celebrate this outstanding accomplishment, but also to look forward. It is clear that developments in science and technology will play an ever greater role in shaping the future of our societies, our nations, and our planet than they have in the past. Accordingly, I look forward to S&T playing an ever more important role serving as a primary conduit of information flow between the scientific/technology community and the wider public, not just in China, but worldwide.
--Dr. Norman Macleod (the UK), the honorary professor at Nanjing University and a paleontologist.

I congratulate S&T Daily on the occasion of the publication of its 100th English edition. The Daily has become an important platform for informing the world, especially the foreign scientific and technological community in China, about China's scientific and technological accomplishments. It has also become a major source of information about China's policies regarding the recruitment of foreign talent (talent exchange) by China. It provides the opportunity to foreign experts to share their knowledge and experience for the advancement of humanity and the building of a better community with shared future for mankind. I wish it many more successes in the years to come.

As a reliable and credible media outlet, S&T Daily has undoubtedly built a legacy of providing objective, accurate, and timely news on scientific advancement, technological innovation, and their impacts on society for the past decades. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without S&T Daily's strong commitment to excellence and strategic efforts to ensure they remain at the forefront of the media industry. Therefore, I join all other well-wishers in congratulating S&T Daily and its entire staff member for its impactful accomplishments. Furthermore, I hope S&T Daily will continue to strive toward excellence regardless of any challenges.
--Dr. Oluwarotimi Williams Samuel (Nigeria), senior lecturer & lead investigator, School of Computing and Engineering, University of Derby, United Kingdom.
In the modern world, only knowledge-driven nations can afford the big challenges posed by changing environment and eternal fight with infections. Acceptance of the concept that science has no borders remains the first requirement and the basis of good public health practice. China is the door of the future advanced world, but the key to open it remains good communication and a common language.
--Professor Aldo Tagliabue (Italy), the chief scientist of the Laboratory of Inflammation and Vaccines at SIAT-CAS.
Science and Technology has always played a vital role in developing a country, particularly so in the Digital Era of today. Many new scientific discoveries and disruptive technologies have emerged so quickly in the last two decades. Thus, newspapers play a significant role in reporting and publicising the truth of science and technology issues and in educating the general public on the social, environmental and economic impact of S&T. This has to be done based on evidence and without fear or favour. Thus, I applaud the S&T Daily in fulfilling this role well since its establishment. I congratulate S&T Daily on your 100th Edition. I hope S&T Daily will continue to serve the community for many years to come.
--Professor Chuah Hean Teik (Malaysia), a consultant professor at NPU.
Today, S&T Daily publishes their one hundredth edition. Now, 100 is just a number. Any newspaper can publish 100 issues. So I will not congratulate S&T Daily for achieving this milestone. I will congratulate them to something different: After only two years, the young newspaper has become a stable and very much appreciated information source on cutting-edge research and technological advances. The journalists, editors, web designers – all the professional staff of S&T Daily together – produce a newspaper which always is interesting, informative, clearly structured, thought-provoking, well-rounded, and, as a result, quickly growing in readership. They did this within *only* 100 issues. To that I sincerely and wholeheartedly want to congratulate the whole team. Congratulations. All the best! And keep up the great work!
--Professor Thomas Weise?(Germany), a computer scientist from Hefei University.
